Peshmerga women are fighting on the front lines

Iraq has a group of ladies it can credit for helping the country to fight on the front lines. These women, according to Express UK, are part of the 2nd Battalion in the Kurdish Security Forces, Peshmerga.

And like women throughout the world, the Peshmerga women have the difficult task of balancing family with work.

It’s just that in their case work involves high powered rifles and armored military vehicles. But, they can handle it.

They have been around since 1996. And according to Express UK, the ladies have a very impressive record on the battlefield.

They have never lost a soldier and there have only been three soldiers wounded during battle.
